We recommend that you irrigate your mouth with swab water at least four times per day, and especially after each meal or snack. This helps flush out food debris, keeps your mouth clean, and minimizes the threat of infection.
The fact that dental implants are placed only in your mouth means that your body has experienced surgery. In addition, after you get home from your procedure, you should lie down and rest with your head elevated with many pillows. Elevating your head after implants are placed increases the blood flow to your surgical spots and can help reduce the swelling you’ll experience afterward.
